About The Big Ada Tree

The famous big Ada tree is located near Akim Oda which is 66.5m (218ft) tall and 396 cm (13ft) in diameter. The big Ada tree is the biggest in West Africa. The tree is known to have been named after nee Hansen, a local resident who knew the surveyor. The tree has been in existence for over 300 years and has survived fire and storms. The tree serves as a big tourism and economic hub for the area .
