Shiare, also known as the "Hanging Village," is a mountain village settlement in the Breast Mountains of the Oti Region in northern Ghana. The village is about 900 years old and is part of the Nkwanta South Municipal District. Its unique architecture features houses built with rocks and clay on terraces along the contour of the mountain, giving the impression that the village is "hanging" on the hillside. It is home to the Kyode people who practice traditional religion alongside Christianity and are mainly subsistence farmers producing honey and crops like cassava and yams.
