National Museum of Ghana

The National Museum of Ghana is the country's largest and oldest museum, inaugurated in 1957 as part of Ghana's independence celebrations. It houses diverse collections focusing on archaeology, ethnography, and art, including Stone Age artifacts, traditional musical instruments, gold weights, textiles, ancestral stools, and contemporary paintings by Ghanaian artists. Exhibits also feature cultural objects from other African countries, providing a rich panorama of Africa’s heritage.
