About Lake Bosomtwi

Lake Bosomtwi is Ghana's only natural lake, located approximately 30 kilometers southeast of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. Formed over a million years ago by a meteorite impact, it is one of only six known meteoritic lakes in the world.
