Jamestown Light House

Jamestown Lighthouse is a historic landmark located in the Jamestown neighborhood of Accra, Ghana. Originally built by the British in 1871 and replaced in the 1930s by the current 28-meter tall structure, it features red and white horizontal stripes and stands as a symbol of colonial maritime history. The lighthouse was crucial for guiding ships safely along the dangerous rocky coastline of the Gold Coast and now serves as a cultural monument and tourist attraction, offering panoramic views of Accra and the Atlantic Ocean from its top, accessed by 112 steps.
