The Bobiri Forest Reserve and Butterfly Sanctuary is West Africa's only butterfly sanctuary. It covers 54.65 square kilometers of semi-deciduous tropical rainforest, home to over 400 butterfly species and more than 200 bird species. Established in 1931, the reserve serves as an ecotourism center and a research reserve and offers guided nature trails, butterfly gardens, and an arboretum. It is valued for its natural beauty, biodiversity, and educational opportunities.
