Achimota Forest Reserve is a protected urban forest, covering about 360 hectares. Established in 1930, it serves as a green buffer between Accra city and Achimota School and functions as an arboretum and wildlife rescue center, housing animals like pythons, ostriches, hyenas, and monkeys. The forest is vital in purifying air and controlling carbon emissions, providing recreational space, and contributing to local biodiversity and ecology.
